19-year-old Jesa, the only survivor, was pulled from the wreckage alive.

Jesus and Alma were travelling in their red Mazda along Hopkins Road early on Thursday morning when the deadly accident occurred.

Truck driver Steele Edwards was first on the scene and left devastated by the horror.

“I just tried to help out what I could do, tried to get door open but couldn't.

“Girl in the back, she was really distressed, two in the front no...nah they couldn't…”

Emergency crews took Jesa to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she was told her parents didn't survive.

Officer Mark Amos said the event was a tragedy.

“Today we've got three teenagers without parents,” he told 7 News.

“From the evidence that we've been able to see so far they've been quite a number of vehicles so far, five in total, but they've all had different movements and reconstructing those movements will take quite a bit of time and effort.”

Hopkins Road is known to be busy and collisions are frequent, especially in the mornings, with some locals saying they avoid the stretch all together.

Truck drivers believe the conditions were even more dangerous than usual.

“There's oil on the road and dirt makes conditions a little more slippery,” one driver told 7 News.

"[It's] always sad when something like this happens."

Crash experts will recreate exactly what happened while three teenagers and a community are left distraught by their loss.
