'It was cutting precious beer time!' Couple's first date tomfoolery

A Darwin driver has learnt not to mess with people looking for love.

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day a new couple took a punt and went for a first date to their local camping expo.

While they had a good time, they were a bit miffed to find a rude Toyota Landcruiser driver had parked directly behind their car so they couldn’t flee, even if they wanted to.

Fortunately this new couple was able to solve the problem together quite quickly.

The cheeky pair decided to jump into the 4WD they came in and tow the car themselves.

Louise Johnston then shared the footage to her Facebook with the caption 'What else do you do when a Prado blocks you in and cuts out precious beer time?'

The stranger’s car initially takes some convincing to move, gripping to the ground with a firm handbrake.

But the car doing the towing eventually wins the challenge and the Prado skids out of the spot.

In 52 seconds, the car is effectively moved to an entirely different, and more considerate parking spot.

The video has been praised by many but it also copped a bit of backlash with some claiming Ms Johnston’s actions could have seriously damaged both cars.

“If I'd come out and seen him doing that to my Prado, there's a good chance I'd be doing time for what I'd have done,” one user said.

However Ms Johnston was quick to defend her actions, after asking police and the event organisers for help.

“We notified the event organisers who refused to help. We notified police who couldn't help. We also waited 3 hours in the sun with children with us, waiting to leave. If you don't like it, don't watch it.”

It seems the cheeky first date antics paid off for the new couple, who soon listed themselves as ‘in a relationship’ on Facebook after the footage went up online.
