17-year-old suffers head injuries after falling from cliff at popular swimming spot
FIRST ON 7: A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after falling 15 metres from a waterfall in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The teenager fell into the ravine about 11.30am at the popular swimming spot in Cedar Creek Falls, Tamborine National Park.
Fairfax reports that Queensland Ambulance Service Gold Coast operations supervisor Stuart Cutajar said the teenager was suffering an injury to the back of his head with cuts and bruises to his body.

Paramedics were able to walk in to treat the teenager, but needed to winch him out of the deep gorge.
Video from the 7 News helicopter shows the rescue teams working to help the man who can be seen with a bandage on his head.
He is in a stable condition at Gold Coast University Hospital.
