Scorned wife sells husband's NRL Grand Final tickets, throws him in for free
A furious wife has listed her husband's NRL Grand Final tickets for a bargain price online after receiving an 'ungrateful' response for her birthday present surprise.
Debbie McCarthy from Collingwood Park in Queensland advertised the tickets on Gumtree two days ago, writing:
"Very annoyed wife wanting to sell two tickets to NRL grand final.
"Stayed awake until 2 in the morning to surprise husband for his birthday to a history making match in Sydney for this years NRL GRAND FINAL. (sic)"
Ms McCarthy said the mistake was "obviously a WIFE fail (sic)"
"The response was not what I expected....hence needing to sell them to a more grateful person," she wrote.
There are two tickets on sale for $315, in the silver section of Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
Ms McCarthy also has a bonus extra she's throwing in for free.
"Will even throw in the ungrateful husband...no no, no cost for him FREE GIVE AWAY TO GOOD HOME (sic)," she wrote.
