Man risks his life to attach air con unit to building
Heart-stopping vision has emerged of the moment a dedicated worker in China risked his life to install an air conditioning unit to a tall building.
Video shows the brave man holding the heavy unit while balancing on a narrow ledge of what appears to be a residential apartment.
The man who is wearing a harness that doesn’t appear to be connected to anything, does his best to manoeuvre the large unit around the corner of the ledge, which is high above the ground.
After several attempts his side steps over the huge drop and touches down on the adjoining part of the ledge and starts carrying out his work.
While he does a successful job, it is excruciating to watch just how close the man comes to falling off the edge.
He is not the first man to risk his life for the sake of the comfort of air conditioning.
Earlier this year, a workman believed to be from India, was caught on camera swaying on top of two ladders, which had been fixed together to create a massive ladder.
The man who was not attached to any harness, balanced against the side of the tall building and used a drill on the air conditioning unit.
Apart from showing the dedication of some workers, these videos shed light on some of the concerning and unsafe work place practices which are commonplace in other countries.
