Police raids underway in Newtown and Port Stevens
Police have confirmed to Yahoo7 that an ice and weapons investigation is underway Newtown and Port Stevens and at least one person has been arrested.
Earlier today, police and Hazmat crew cordoned off Darley Street after a clearing one house.
Crews wearing yellow jumpsuits and carrying oxygen tanks and gas masks were seen in the neighbourhood.
Detectives are attending and searching a second home in the street.
A woman is currently being questioned inside.
Uniformed and plain-clothes officers and a dozen fire crew are setting up tents on the street.

No police were willing to provide comment on the operation, but one said it was simply a "slow day".

Police took one civilian from another house up the road but it is not clear if they were under arrest.
