An exclusive club has opened in Brisbane, where men are being asked to ‘measure up’ before they are given a membership.

'The 7th' was officially launched on Wednesday night, The Courier Mail reports, in front of Brisbane's social elite, and caters to well-endowed men and the women who love them.

Event host, Sophie Binfield, explained to guests the philosophy behind the club.

“We have chosen to focus on something at the very core of our nature and so centric to human relationships, one that we subconsciously already accept, but is a social taboo, the endowment of a man,” she said.

“Men must qualify by exceeding 7 inches and agree to embrace the values.”

Successful applicants are given a silver ring to signify they meet the requirements.

The Courier Mail reports the club has reportedly attracted 12 members so far.

Those who don't fit the bill are still able to join by recruiting others who do.

“We have created the ambassador program – any member of the public regardless of endowment or gender may become an ambassador and, for introducing three qualifying members, can be a part of The 7th,” Binfield said.

Organisers hope to take The 7th to an international level.
