The discovery of a clandestine laboratory containing 6kg of MDMA has led to the arrests of two men in Sydney’s south.

Footage taken by police revealed the shocking discovery after officers attended a Kurnell property on May 4 following an extensive investigation.

After searching the Horning St address from around 5pm, police say they discovered 6kg of MDMA and more than 100kg of unrefined drug and precursor chemicals.

Hundreds of items constituting a “complex clandestine laboratory” were also located inside a shed at the back of the property, in addition to $200,000 cash, police allege.

Two men were arrested at the scene while the items were seized to undergo further examination.

Specialist officers from the drug and firearms squad’s chemical operations unit and fire and Rescue NSW hazmat team revisited the property to dismantle the lab, ending the process on Tuesday, May 9.
