More than a month after the death of a woman in the B.C. Interior, North Okanagan RCMP have announced a second-degree murder charge against the victim's ex-husband.

On April 13, Tatjana Stefanski, 44, was reported missing from the village of Lumby, about 110 kilometres southwest of Kamloops, B.C. One day later, RCMP say police found her body in a rural location and arrested a man nearby. The man was released from custody.

On Friday, RCMP said in a news release that Stefanski's ex-husband, Vitali Stefanski has been charged in the case.

More to come.
