Two U.S. Navy SEALs are missing after falling into the Gulf of Aden on Thursday as they were boarding a vessel off the coast of Somalia, officials said over the weekend. The pair were part of an operation seeking to intercept Iranian weapons being shipped to Houthi rebels in Yemen, according to The Washington Post. One of the sailors slipped from a ladder while boarding another ship in rough water, the newspaper reported, and the second dove into the sea in an attempt to save the man. Neither SEAL was identified publicly as of Sunday night, and officials did not disclose whether other military personnel successfully carried out the mission or located any weapons.
