A teenager has described the moment she was shot during a random and violent encounter on a major highway, describing seeing blood all over her pants moments after escaping from her attackers.

In dashcam vision from a fellow motorist, a Toyota LandCruiser swerves and rams into the family-of-four’s yellow Ford Focus as they drove on Queensland’s Logan Motorway last Tuesday evening.

“I saw the flash, I heard the bang,” the girl’s father told 7 News when he realised their aggressors had discharged a firearm into their car.

“She was absolutely screaming.”

In the footage, the family tries to escape the pursuing LandCruiser as it continues to tail and swerve at them.

The girl’s father said they were able to pull over in a safe location and phone police.

“They found the bullet … in the back seat of the car,” he said.
