The police are investigating a single-vehicle crash on the weekend that left one woman dead and several people injured.
According to an RCMP statement, police received a report of a crash on Sunday around 4 p.m. along Route 360 between Bay d'Espoir and Harbour Breton.
"A vehicle lost control, departed the highway and went over a steep embankment," said the statement.
"Volunteer firefighters from Conne River and Milltown, as well as emergency medical services from Harbour Breton, Hermitage and Conne River, attended the scene."
The vehicle's four occupants were taken by ambulance to Grand-Falls Windsor's Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre for "treatment of various levels of injuries."
One of them, a 75-year-old woman, died of her injuries at the hospital.
Police say the investigation is ongoing. On Monday, an RCMP collision analyst was at the scene of the crash, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has also been brought into the investigation.
