Candidate to ban homosexuality, rock music and feminism
Homosexual people should be jailed, rock music should be banned and feminism eliminated.
These are the views of one Northern Irish election candidate who insists she is not an extremist, and says she is a true friend to the homosexual community.
Susan Anne White is contesting the seat of West Tyrone in Britain’s upcoming general election and has raised more than a few eyebrows in her campaign so far.
The Belfast Telegraph reports White, a devout Christian, wants to act against the “dangerous homosexual agenda” and combat the message of “sexual anarchy and drug use” in rock music.
She would also defund “depraved” arts and cultural events like gay pride parades.
White who describes herself as “Biblically correct” instead of politically correct said if she had the power to change her country’s laws, gay people would find themselves in prison, as would adulterers, and feminism would become a thing of the past.
Rock music would also be outlawed in a push to move society back towards “God’s principles”. Unsurprisingly, abortion would also be a punishable offence.
“Feminism is responsible for many of the social ills we see all around us," White said.
"They [feminists] are responsible for the economy - they destroyed the whole concept of a family wage with the father as the bread-winner and the stay-at-home mother.
“They make women feel they have to be out in the workforce."
Feminists, the gay community and musicians aren’t the only ones who might be worried about White ascending to political office. Children are also on her hit list.
According to her election manifesto, a victory in the May 7 poll could also herald a new push to ban “amoral” sex education, criminalise the provision of contraceptives to under 18s and return corporal punishment to classrooms. Parents would also gain increased rights to physically punish their children.
She would also push to raise the legal age for sexual intercourse to 18.
It does not end there.
White promises to push for the return of capital punishment for murderers and terrorists, “oppose global warming fanatics and their pseudo science”, to ban the construction or extension of any mosques and oppose the “Islamisation of Great Britain.”
Halal slaughter is also out, CCTV would be installed in all abattoirs and penalties for animal cruelty would be strengthened.
It is not White’s first attempt at winning public office. Last year she contested local council elections, netting just 67 first preference votes.
But despite her apparent unpopularity, White says it is society that is wrong.
"I don't consider myself extreme - not at all," she said. "
“It is society that has moved. Not so far in the past, most people would have shared my views.
"My views only seem extreme because society has moved away from God's principles."
White is one of nine candidates contesting the seat held by outgoing Sinn Fein MP Pat Doherty who holds West Tyrone with a 10,000 vote majority.
