Inside lucky woman's free trip of a lifetime

A man who made international headlines when he advertised a free round-the-world trip to a woman with the same name as his ex-girlfriend has shared photos of his holiday with his replacement 'Ms Right'.

Jordan Axani offered up a free trip, worth thousands of dollars, to a woman with the same name as his former partner Elizabeth Gallagher, who he originally bought the ticket for.

The real estate developer posted his proposal online and was inundated with emails from ‘Elizabeth Gallagher’s’ around the world.

He eventually decided to take Elizabeth Quinn Gallagher from Nova Scotia in Canada.

The pair visited five countries and took in the sights in cities including Milan, Paris and Dehli, sharing snaps from their travels on Twitter and Instagram.

They were put up by hotel chain the Marriott, who agreed to host the two in separate rooms.

“While traveling with a complete stranger may seem like an odd idea to many, Quinn and I had an incredible experience on our trip around the world," Axani told America’s ABC News.

"From Prague to Paris to Hong Kong, we learned so much from the different cultures and the incredible people we met along the way. We both felt so lucky to have had such a life changing experience."

After returning home, Gallagher took to Twitter to reflect on their trip.

"Home sweet home in good ol Nova Scotia! Still can't believe this whirlwind world trip is over!,” she wrote.

While the pair says they were purely ‘travel buddies’ on the trip they do plan to stay in touch.
