Exploding whale gives locals a massive fright
This is not something you see every day.
A group of Faroe Islander locals had the shock of their lives when they tried to cut up the carcass of a dead, beached sperm whale.
Deciding the best way to remove the whale was to slice it up, one brave man moved forward to begin the deed.
What happened next took everyone by surprise.
The stomach of the whale exploded in extremely messy fashion, with the unlucky local striking a gas pocket in the whale's stomach.
What ensued was pretty gross.
Thank goodness the Faroe Islander was wearing protective gear at the time.
