‘Everyone’s going to die one day’: Half-naked teen clings onto back of train carriage

A teenage girl wearing nothing but her underwear has been filmed clinging onto a speeding train carriage in Melbourne.

The scantily dressed daredevil brazenly stood on a small ledge at the back of the Metro train in the first shot, before reemerging in a crouched position moments later.

The video is far from a one-off incident either; the thrill-seekers who regularly post videos of dangerous stunts call themselves the "Sky High Idiots".

“We’ve all accepted that everyone’s going to die one day, there’s no reason to be concerned about it,” one gang member told 7 News.

While the majority of the gang appears to be males, the half-naked girl features prominently throughout their videos posted on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Another train-surfer defended his actions after riding on the top of a carriage, narrowly avoiding hitting his head on gantries and power cables as it sped through tunnels.

“A lot of people ride on the backs of trains but nobody’s riding on the top really,” the male boasted after his dangerous video went viral.

Remarkably youths only face a $78 penalty for clinging onto the back of the trains, while adults face a steeper $389 fine.

James Wilkinson, Joshua Green and Jordan Porter, all teenagers, have been killed riding on the backs of trains in separate incidents dating back to 2012.
