Moments in time show WA's beauty

A hot-air balloon ride, a play at the beach with the dog and a paddle on the river are all magic moments captured during a day in the life of WA.

On Saturday, October 4, more than 350 people from around the State snapped an instant of time to sum up their day as part of the Mosaic community photographic project run by Propel Youth Arts WA.

From Albany to Kalumburu, each photo reveals a personal story and unique moment, but also forms part of a collection to represent the State's diverse culture, lifestyle and landscapes.

At 8am, Phuong Intini captured a hot-air balloon ride over the Avon Valley, a gift from family that gave pause to reflect on the beauty of WA while floating peacefully above the clouds.

At 5.23pm, Isabelle Osborne snapped the afternoon sun passing through the Fremantle Eye, turning everything and everyone beneath it to gold. "It is in these little moments that we can remember how beautiful where we live is," Ms Osborne said.

The photos will be shown at The Hive, 192 William Street, Northbridge, from November 6 to 16.
