He hopes to return in time to ride Platinum Rocker in the $125,000 Asian Beau Stakes (1400m) on Saturday week.

The $100,000 Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m) is run at the same meeting. Knuckey will also miss Sunday's $100,000 Northam Cup (1600m).

"I've got a strained medial ligament and a bit of fluid on the knee," Knuckey said. "I'll take this week off and rest up and I'm keen to ride on Saturday week."

X-rays cleared jockey Glenn Smith of broken ribs after he fell from Hard To Express at the 150m of race four on Saturday.

Smith fell when Hard To Express reacted badly to being tested with the whip. Stewards adjourned their inquiry.

- Boom sprinter Smoko is likely to be set for the feature sprint series at Ascot after a brilliant first-up win on Saturday.

Smoko stretched his unbeaten streak to four, leading all the way to beat Recode by 2 ¼ lengths.

"That was just brilliant," co-trainer Clint Price said.

"He'll start over 1000m in two weeks or 1200m in three weeks and then we'll see where he's at."

The Crawford Stakes (1000m), Summer Scorcher (1000m), WATC Stakes (1100m) and Miss Andretti Stakes (1200m) are among options for Smoko.

- Arcadia Rose is bound for the Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m) next month after her strong win in Saturday's Belgravia Stakes (1200m). Playing God will head to the $250,000 Lee-Steere Stakes (1400m) on November 9 after his defiant win in the Northerly Stakes (1400m).
