Woman dead after overdose
A woman died of a suspected drug overdose in Bunbury overnight.
A police spokeswoman said the woman was one of a “number of people” who required treatment for suspected overdoses during New Year’s Eve celebrations.
It is believed the suspected overdoses could be linked to a bad batch of drugs.

Police issued a warning about the dangers of illicit drugs at 10.30pm, reminding partygoers illicit drugs could lead to death or injury.
“While it is not yet known which specific drugs were used, a number of people have already needed medical intervention in Perth and Dunsborough,” a spokesman said.
“If you have taken drugs, or someone you know has taken drugs, and there are any signs of health problems it is vital that emergency medical assistance is sought as quickly as possible.”
