Housos

TODAY, 9.30PM, SBS1

It's irreverent, seriously rude, racist, violent, totally sexist and anything other than politically correct.

In fact, it's Aussie humour at its basest. But it's downright ridiculously funny and has earned SBS decent ratings.

"Whether you have to beg, borrow or steal a TV to watch it," says Housos producer Paul Fenech, "we have enough surprises to make it worth your while."

He plays Franky who, given a pair of thongs, can run like the wind, particularly if it's from the local cops. And there is disturbing evidence he doesn't just wear thongs as footwear.

You sure wouldn't want Sunnyvale desperates living in your neighbourhood. Fenech calls it polarising and gives fans a chance to "unite with their inner bogan".
