Blaze destroys sound and light business
About 40 firefighters fought a blaze that burnt a Myaree sound and lighting business to the ground last night.
The fire started at AAA Production Services on Malland Street about 6.15pm and caused $1.195 million damage.
Crews from Perth, Murdoch, Fremantle, Kensington, Belmont, Canning Vale and Claremont stations had the blaze under control by 7pm.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services warned people in Myaree, Alfred Cove and the eastern part of Melville they could be affected by smoke and advised them to remain inside and turn off their air-conditioners.
Malland and Blakie streets were closed for several hours. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
