Ukraine lawmakers reappoint defence, foreign ministers to new government

Kiev (AFP) - Ukraine lawmakers on Tuesday reappointed the current defence and foreign ministers to a new government formed after an October election put a new pro-Western coalition in charge of parliament.

Moments before the vote, President Petro Poroshenko warmly praised Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak for their work in the face of historic tensions with neighbouring Russia and a separatist uprising in the industrial east.
