A driver crashed into a bollard as he sped away from police after doing burnouts in Wickham.
Officers tried to stop the driver last night when they spotted the car doing burnouts around Wickham Drive and River Gum Road about 2.20am.
Police said the car lost a wheel and its exhaust and was not driveable.
It is understood the driver failed a breath test.
Inquiries are continuing.
