Police dog Jimmy on the trail
Police dog Jimmy helped apprehend an alleged thief in Hamersley overnight.
At about 12.35am police responded to information about a person believed to be entering cars along Eastwood Way, Hamersley.
Jimmy was sent into the rear yard of a house on Eastwood Way.
A teenager fled but Jimmy tracked him to a trailer on Hornet Street.
A 16-year-old Rivervale boy hiding under the trailer was taken into custody and handed over to officers from Mirrabooka Police Station.
He was charged with three counts of attempted stealing, two counts of possessing stolen property and one count of breach of bail
