Murdoch backs Packer
Sarah Murdoch has thrown her support behind Erica Packer in the wake of highly publicised divorce.
The high-profile pair stepped out together in Sydney on Monday night to celebrate the newly estranged wife of James Packer appearing on the November cover of Australian Vogue.
Erica beamed at the event, which took place on healthcare magnate Paul Ramsay's $35 million superyacht, in the same sheer $50,000 Christian Dior dress she wore for the Vogue cover, albeit this time with a body suit underneath.
The future of Sarah and Erica's close friendship was put into question after Sarah and her husband *Lachlan * were photographed holidaying with James on the Greek island of Mykonos for his 46th birthday last month shortly after news of the impending divorce surfaced.
Another surprise guest at the event was James' only sister Gretel.
In the Vogue interview, Erica Packer said she remained close to her mother-in-law Ros and Gretel.
"I really admire and appreciate my in-laws. They are strong, they are there for me and we are all in regular contact. We are - and remain - a family," she said.
