Young child hit and killed by vehicle on Palm Island
A young child has been hit and killed by a vehicle on Queensland's Palm Island, Townsville Rescue Helicopter has confirmed.
The police forensic crash unit are currently on scene investigating with some reports stating the the child was hit by a bus.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the toddler, reportedly a 20-month-old girl, was taken to Palm Island Hospital in a critical condition around 12.45pm (AEST), AAP reports.
