Shocking dashcam of woman nearly run over at crossing

Dramatic dashcam footage has emerged of a woman who came within inches of being run down at a pedestrian crossing in Toowoomba.

The video of the close call shows a car in the right lane stopping to allow a woman to cross at a pedestrian crossing.

However, as she crossed the road, a car in the left lane nearly hit her.

The driver of the waiting car tried to warn the pedestrian by beeping the horn.

She leapt back at the last second and avoided being knocked down.

The video was uploaded by Agentsmith2181 who wrote:

"A older bloke failed to stop and give way to pedestrian at a marked pedestrian intersection almost striking the pedestrian.

"I saw him approaching at speed from the rear and sounded my horn to warn the pedestrian.

"Fortunately no one was injured. You will notice the the driver who almost hit the pedestrian failed to brake at any time before, during or after the near miss and continued."
