Fog blankets Adelaide, flights delayed
A number of flights are currently being diverted away from Adelaide Airport with more flights delayed as a heavy fog blankets the city.
By 8.30am, inbound flights from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Denpasar had already been diverted to Melbourne with airport officials blaming poor visibility.
The Bureau of Meteorology says visibility is as low as 200 metres due to the fog, but expects it to clear later in the day.
A road safety alert has been issued, advising motorists of the dangerous conditions.
SA Police has asked drivers to slow down and take extra care, turn on headlights and maintain a safe distance with the vehicle in front.
