Protesters gather outside Hanson's ABC appearance

At least four protesters have been arrested at a rally outside the ABC's Sydney studios after Pauline Hanson was a guest on news program Q&A.

The protesters put up flyers around Sydney's inner suburbs encouraging others to join them at the rally. An estimated 200 protesters turned up to question why Ms Hanson was given additional air time to share her views.

Given Ms Hanson's One Nation received just over 4 per cent of the nation's Senate votes, the protesters were angered by the ABC's decision to allow Ms Hanson to speak further on her policies.

An estimated 60 police officers were called to the Ultimo offices to keep the peace, after more than 50 of Ms Hanson's supporters arrived.

Those supporters sung the famed Waltzing Matilda in support of Ms Hanson.

Speaking on the Q&A program, Ms Hanson said she supported the views of TV personality Sonia Kruger who told her viewers she needed to think of the world her daughter grows up into.
