The couple, both aged 29, drove to a skate park at Tahmoor at 7pm on Wednesday where they found their way blocked by a white ute after entering the car park.

It's alleged two men wearing balaclavas then sprung out and threatened the pair with a rifle before fleeing empty-handed.

Police say there's no suggestion the thugs used the game to lure people to the area.
