'DIY' doctor guilty of slicing off man's testicle
A DIY “doctor” has admitted to slicing off a man’s testicle in a New South Wales motel room after answering an online advertisement for “medical help”.
Allan George Matthews pleaded guilty in a Port Macquarie court to illicitly removing the man’s body tissue in May.
The court heard the 56-year-old met the victim at a Port Macquarie motel after answering his ad.
Police say Mr Matthews then surgically removed the 52-year-old victim’s left testicle inside the room despite having no qualification as a doctor.
The victim later required medical treatment at a local hospital.
Mr Matthews will be sentenced at a later date.
