Car flips and rolls four times after clipping vehicle on freeway

Footage of a crash on an Australian freeway has shown the moment a car flipped and rolled in slow-moving traffic, after clipping the side of another vehicle.

The video was taken on Tuesday and posted to Facebook by Dash Cam Owners Australia.

It shows cars slowing in a left lane, with traffic almost grinding to a halt.

A black car approaches, seemingly braking – but then accelerating – as it attempts to overtake.

The driver misjudges the distance and clips a corner of the car in front, sending the black car immediately into a spin.

It flips and rolls several times before coming to a stop.

The video was posted with a comment saying the driver and passenger “were unharmed and escaped through the sunroof”.

Uploaded on Wednesday, the post was commented on almost 300 times within 24 hours, with many social media users shocked at how violently the car flipped despite traffic moving relatively slowly.

“I’m gobsmacked at how easily that Hyundai flipped”, one user, Stephan Kicic, posted.

Dashcam footage has captured some crazy, stupid and sometimes fatal behaviour on the roads. Here are some of those Yahoo7 has shared:
