Oaks Day streaker gives TV audience an eyeful
As wild weather put a dampener on Oaks Day at Flemington, not everyone was letting it ruin their good time.
As cameras panned through the crowds huddling beneath umbrellas, the latest Spring Carnival hilarity emerged. A streaker.
Resplendent in her white bra and grey Reg Grundies, the Flemington-set and television audience fell into fits of laughter as the battle-weary security guards re-clad yet another misbehaving punter.
For her part, the woman did not appear fazed or upset at the attention from law enforcement, the crowd or the photographer who scored some close up shots.
“This is my eighth year in a row and this is so much fun!” she told 7 Sport.
“Oh my god! I’ve lost my hat!" she exclaimed, as the reporter pressed her to be reminded that she had lost a lot more than that just moments earlier.
"Earlier I lost everything - bar my undies!"

For an event which has built its reputation on glitz and glamour, this year's Melbourne Cup carnival has made great strides towards bringing Australia's cultural cringe thundering into the 21st century.
The streaker's run comes after a week full of colourful behaviour caught on camera.
Earlier in the carnival, 24-year-old Sarah Finn was caught by 7 News cameras pushing a police acting superintendent into a bush for no apparent reason.
She has since been charged with assaulting a police officer and has publicly apologised for her bad behaviour.
Reluctant to appear on camera, Finn said she was trying to contact the officer to personally say sorry.
“I deeply apologise for my actions.”
“I acknowledge a massive error in judgement on my behalf. My level of intoxication is no excuse.”
The colour blue may just accommodate some mystical power that attracts controversy. Australia's most infamous Melbourne Cup reveller went viral in November 2012 after she was captured on video dressed in blue and punching other racegoers.
She was shown stumbling around before hitting a couple of patrons and then being held down by security.
"I'm ashamed. And was drugged!!" she wrote from her YouTube account in response to media reports slamming her behaviour.
"This is out of character and at this point, it's a police matter.
"Thank you for all the comments... Nothing is ever as it seems."
