Brazen thief steals puppy from Minto Market Place

Video has captured the moment a brazen thief stole a puppy that was tied up outside a shopping centre in Sydney.

The little 10-month-old Jack Russell puppy was taken from Minto Market Place around 3:30pm on Monday.

The owner of the puppy had tied it up to a bollard near the entrance while they went to the chemist. When they returned the puppy was gone.

CCTV vision released by Macquarie Fields Local Area Command, shows a person untie the puppy and pick it up.

The person walks a few steps away from the entrance before breaking into a run.

Police have released images of two people who may be able to assist with the investigation.


They hope to be able to reunite the puppy with its distraught owner soon.
