'Very big muscles': China releases bizarre Pro-Putin video

A new video leaves viewers in no doubt what people in China think about Vladimir Putin - they think he's very attractive.

The five-minute film, released by “Studio on Fuxing Road,” shows residents answering a series of questions about the Russian President.

The video was produced ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit to Moscow to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

The clip has triggered a perplexed response from more than one million viewers around the world at some of the responses featured in the strange Pro-Putin ad.


“Putin is very good,” one interviewee responds.

“Very big muscles," adds another.

Three giddy young girls also admit they want to marry someone like the Russian leader.

While another elderly interview proclaims "Putin, you are a big handsome man!”

The video ends with a group of Chinese people singing old Russian songs including “Katyusha” and “Moscow-Beijing.”

The relationship between China and Russian has strengthened in recent times and the rapport between the two leaders is reportedly very good.

Mr Putin enjoys persistently favourable media coverage in the country.

Within two days of its release on youku.com, it had been viewed more than one million times.
