Missing Sydney woman, baby visited GP

A Sydney mother who vanished with her one-month-old son was last seen driving away from her western Sydney home with no bags.

Shoaa Asmar, aged 27, and her baby, Omar, disappeared from her family home in Merrylands on Monday evening.

New CCTV footage shows Ms Asmar and her son leaving a doctor's office just before they went missing.

Inspector Adam Phillip says Ms Asmar is not in any trouble.

"We have grave concerns as to where she is," Insp Phillip said.

Police have reinterviewed Ms Asmar's family members while her estranged husband lives in Western Australia.

Ms Asmar and Omar are believed to be travelling in a light blue-coloured 2000 model Toyota Corolla with black and gold coloured NSW plates UZS-116.

Police still have not found the vehicle.

Ms Asmar is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance and 165cm tall.

She was last seen wearing a dark coloured jilbab (scarf covering her torso and head).

The woman also regularly wears a hijab.
