Drugs, guns, seized during Sydney raid

A submachine gun, ammunition, drugs and a bogus licence have been seized by police during a raid on a home in Sydney's west.

A 24-year-old was on Friday charged with 16 offences, including five counts of possessing a prohibited drug and unauthorised possession of prohibited firearm, following a search on his Toongabbie home, police said.

Detectives from the Firearms and Organised Crime Squad seized a submachine gun and two magazines, ammunition, 28 vials of steroids, 100 grams of what's believed to be ice, 15 grams of cannabis and a fake NSW driver's licence.

The man was refused police bail and is due before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
