False alarm for missing plane in NSW
A search for a reported missing light plane has been called off in Sydney's north-western outskirts.
Emergency services scoured the area around North Richmond on Tuesday at midday after receiving a call about a plane.
The area was searched by police and a helicopter was also dispatched, but it was a false alarm, police say.
Richmond RAAF Base also had no information of a plane in their air space or a crash, a Fire & Rescue NSW spokeswoman told AAP.
