Man charged over Sydney knifepoint robbery

A man has been charged after a 15-year-old boy had his phone taken from him in a knifepoint robbery in Sydney's west in May.

The boy was walking down a street in Cabramatta on May 14 when the man allegedly came up behind him, pulled out a knife and demanded money.

Police said the boy didn't have any cash and handed over his mobile phone.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on Friday after police seized several items, including a mobile phone and a knife, in a search at a Liverpool home.

He was refused bail to appear at the Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday, charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
