Three armed robberies overnight in Qld

Detectives are hunting for several men following three separate armed robberies overnight in Queensland.

Police say a man threatened a grocer with a knife in the southern Cairns suburb of White Rock about 9.20pm on Friday.

The alleged thief made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

A few hours later, a man armed with a knife demanded money from a bottle shop attendant in the northern Brisbane suburb of Nundah.

The offender, who wore a black jacket, blue jeans and a green beanie, made off with the cash on a black bicycle.

During another robbery in the early hours of Saturday, two men, who said they were armed with a gun, approached two friends in Brisbane's Kangaroo Point.

The alleged thieves, who wore hooded jumpers and hid their faces, then ran off with the goods.
