Motorcyclist impaled by tree branch

A man is fighting for his life after crashing his motorbike and becoming impaled by a tree branch in Queensland.

The-42-year old rider lost control of his bike and crashed down an embankment at Edward St, Noosa around midnight.

He crashed into a tree-covered roundabout, where it's believed a branch pierced his throat and exited through his back.

Paramedics worked on the man for two hours before he was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
