More than 100 dogs have been seized by the RSPCA during a raid on a puppy farm near Milang, south of Adelaide.

The Society was acting on material gathered by animal activists, allegedly showing the dogs being kept in poor conditions.

“They’re living in layers and layers of their own faeces and urine, it’s very unhygienic, puppies are being born into this environment,” said animal activist Debra Tranter.

The dogs have been taken to the RSPCA’s Lonsdale shelter.
