Missing mum's family pleads for help
The family of missing Gold Coast mother Novy Chardon has made an emotional plea from Indonesia, speaking with Seven News for the first time since her disappearance.
They’re worried and anxiously waiting for any news about Novy, who has now been missing for 21 days.
In Surabaya, Indonesia, thousands of kilometres from where Novy was last seen, her parents urge anyone with information about their daughter’s disappearance to call police.
Described as energetic and full of life, the beautician and qualified accountant last spoke to her mother two days before she went missing.
"We are worried so much. We miss her so much, we really hope she will come back soon, well and alive," mum Pradhika Pattisinai
On the night of Wednesday, February 6, 34-year-old Novi stopped at a service station, returned to her Upper Coomera home and then mysteriously vanished.
Her husband, John Chardon, flew to Indonesia the day she was reported missing and Novy's parents have had little contact with him.
"They don't get along with him well," Novy’s mum said
Detectives have interviewed the 65 year-old and his two daughters from a previous marriage.
Seven News understands John’s daughter, Angela Chardon, has now left the country too.
When the story first broke, Mr Chardon spoke openly to the media from Jakarta, admitting he wasn't concerned and even revealed the couple had filed for divorce.
Since he has returned home, he's hired a solicitor and a barrister, refusing to publicly comment about Novy's disappearance.
"We just hope that anybody who has any information about Novy's disappearance will soon call police," Mrs Pattisinai said.
