'Tell Mum I love her': Trapped boy's last words before mysterious car park death

A 16-year-old boy’s last words before he died while trapped inside his van at a US school car park have been revealed.

Kyle Plush was found dead by a family member on Tuesday night (local time) in a car park near Seven Hills School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The two 911 calls made by Kyle before his death have emerged.

In one of the calls, the teenager says to the operator, "I probably don't have much time left, so tell my mom that I love her if I die”, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

He said he was trapped inside his gold Honda Odyssey van at the parking lot of Seven Hills School’s Hillsdale campus.

The phone then went dead and the emergency services operator was unable to speak to him again.

Officers did follow-up the call but they did not locate the van. His body was later found by his father, local news channel WLWT5 cited officials as saying.

Hamilton County Coroner Lakshmi Kode Sammarco delivered her autopsy findings on Wednesday, saying Kyle’s death was accidental.

“An autopsy has been performed and preliminary autopsy findings are asphyxia due to chest compression,” she said in a statement.

“At this time there is no indication of foul play or evidence of a drug overdose.

“Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of Kyle.”

But neither Dr Sammarco or Cincinnati Police Lieutenant Steve Saunders could confirm what crushed Kyle’s chest and led to his death, US news outlet WCPO Cincinnati reported.

A Thursday community prayer gathering was planned for the Plush family by Kyle’s alma mater, Cincinnati’s Mercy Montessori, which he attended from kindergarten to sixth grade.
