Indigenous prisoner found dead in Darwin prison cell
A prisoner has died in Darwin prison, the Northern Territory's Corrections department has confirmed.
The 31 year old Aboriginal man was found dead in his cell at about 6.30am on Thursday, a spokesman for the department said.
Attempts by staff at the Darwin Correctional Centre to revive the man were unsuccessful.

Police are investigating and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The spokesman said the man was a low security remand prisoner.
