Alleged kidnapper and rapist claims he's been treated 'like a pedophile predator'

A man who allegedly kidnapped and raped a 13-year-old girl in Sydney’s west, has claimed he is being treated ‘like a pedophile predator’ and can prove he was lied to about her age.

26-year-old Mustafa Kayirici was arrested on Saturday, after his car crashed into a bus stop at Bondi after a car chase with police.

Detectives had reportedly been hunting for Kayirici since June 19, after a 22-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and robbed in Sydney’s CBD.

On Friday, he allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old in Parramatta.

It’s alleged the accused did not know the teen but managed to lure her to him.

The alleged attack on the teenager happened between 8.30am-1.30pm over five locations.

Kayirici allegedly sexually assaulted the 13-year-old girl on Friday at various locations in Sydney, from Parramatta to Merrylands and on to Telopea, Ermington and Homebush.

In court on Sunday Kayirici chose to represent himself, appearing via video link.

The Daily Telegraph reported the accused claimed to have ‘dirty videos’ of the teen, which he claimed proved she consented to have sex with him.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Ben Bragger said bail would be ‘unthinkable’.

Kayirici appeared with his face badly bruised and eyes swollen.

"They're making out I'm an evil person, like I'm a pedophile rapist predator," he said.

"I'm all over the news and it's wrong… This is completely a lie,"

Kayirici claimed his alleged victim lied about her age and consented to having sex with him.

He told the court he filmed the women he had sex with in order to prove they consented.

"The point is I've got it all on footage. I know I'm innocent. I did not know that this person is 13," he said.

Police claimed that ‘significant evidence’ had been uncovered, including CCTV footage showing the two together.

Police claimed they had a strong case against Kayirici.

Sergeant Bragger reportedly told the court the alleged assaults were similar enough for there to be concerns that ‘female members of the community’ would be in danger if the accused were released on bail.

The magistrate refused bail, agreeing Kayirici was a ‘huge risk’ to the safety of the community.

Kayirici is charged with offences including aggravated sexual assault, detain for advantage and kidnapping.

The matter will return to court on June 30.
