Parents take note: Australia's most criminal names revealed

Parents wanting to give their newborn babies the best possible start to life can do so by following one simple rule – don’t name them Leon.

An Australian law firm has collated names from more than 25,000 crimes to reveal the top ten names most likely to have committed a criminal assault.

For every 100,000 Leons, more than 3000 had committed a crime, while for women those named ‘Robin’ were considered most likely to have found themselves involved in criminal behaviour.

Closely following Leon was a name that many Australians will forever associate with crime, Ivan.

And while notorious murderer Ivan Milat may have topped his name list for the severity of crimes, he was not alone.

For every 100,000 Ivan’s, 2082 of them had committed criminal or drug related offences.
