WATCH: Mum pushing pram almost mowed down walking into traffic

Shocking footage has captured an oblivious mother stepping out in front of busy traffic while pushing a pram.

The woman was almost rundown by a car as she attempted to cross a busy six-lane Sydney road.

The 19-second nail biting dash-cam footage shows the woman opting to ignore a pedestrian crossing at the Sydney Rd intersection in the suburb of Balgowlah.

Using the crossing would have allowed her to make her way across the road, which was jam packed with traffic, safely.

Instead she walked past the crossing and pushed the pram into the middle of the road, as traffic slowed at a red light.

The woman failed to notice the green left-turn arrow, and casually strolled across the lanes with the pram.

As she reached half way across the road a car darted through the left-turning lane, barely missing the pram. It's unknown if the pram contained a child.

Seemingly unbothered by the close call, the woman pauses for a moment, before continuing to cross the road.
