Salesman jumps through car window to catch thief
The dramatic moment a salesman gives chase on foot to catch a woman who steals a car from a dealership is caught on camera.
CCTV footage shows the salesman giving an epic chase to catch up with the thief when she takes off in reverse down the driveway and out of the car yard.
He hurls himself through an open window of the moving vehicle as the car drives out of view, the bonnet still open on the car.
The footage was posted to YouTube by Texas salesman Luis Cancino, who said the incident happened on Thursday.
“(The) woman jumped in the car and proceeded to drive off the lot with it, I chased her down and jumped through the window,” he said in his post.
“(I) managed to get the car to stop and when I got out she was already trying to run away. That's when I caught up and tackled her to the ground until police arrived.”
The video cuts to a scene where a silver car is parked in a suburban street, baldly damaged, before panning to where two men have pinned the woman face down on the ground, holding her while waiting for police to arrive.
She cryies in hysterics before accusing the men of sexual assault.
