Young girl's nose bitten off during horrific dog attack in Sydney's west
A little girl has had part of her nose bitten off in a horrific dog attack in Sydney.
The five-year-old girl was attacked in the front yard of a Pendle Hill home on Thursday night, after someone known to her family brought the Bull Arab/Great Dane Cross to their home.
Most of the girl’s nose was taken off during the incident.
She was taken to hospital with several cuts to her face, a police spokeswoman told AAP.
The girl was recovering at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, where she was being treated for life threatening injuries.
The dog has since been secured and police were liaising with local council officers as part of the investigation.
